Overview:
Our client, located in Irvine, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Full-Cycle Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintaining effective relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a strong understanding of accounting procedures, and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including receiving, verifying, coding, and posting invoices.
Prepare, process, and track payments to vendors via checks, ACH, or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Verify vendor accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve invoice or payment issues.
Handle expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation of receipts.
Reconcile vendor statements, monitor accounts, and communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies or payment inquiries.
Assist in maintaining vendor records, including contact details, W-9 forms, and payment terms.
Work cross-functionally with internal departments to coordinate and resolve purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end accounts payable closing processes, including the preparation of accruals and reports.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and information relating to accounts payable.
Qualifications:

Prior experience in full-cycle accounts payable or a similar accounting role preferred.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems such as NetSuite, or similar ERP system is required.
Strong Excel skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets, and formulas.
Outstanding attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
